It is really becoming a challenging task for the agriculturist and scientists regarding food security for burgeoning global population. Escalation of greenhouse gases and amplified climate system fluctuation has resulted in upsurge of extreme weather-related anomalies. As a consequence, there should be a paradigm shift in planning for concerted, judicious, prudent crop management strategies alleviating climate anomalies and fostering global agricultural research perspective and soil and climate resilient agriculture for sustainable agricultural development. Seed, one of the major important inputs for crop production, play pivotal role for sustainable agriculture. Modern technological innovation and recent advancement in seed science and technology usher in production of quality seed for meeting up the ever-increasing demand of seed for the farming community.
