Abstract

Soybean is also known as golden bean and is one of the highest cultivated oilseeds crop with 125.61 lakh hectares of area during 2023-24. There are numerous problems associated with soybean seed production and during storage as it is poor seed storer. Soybean seed has a low viability by origin and is particularly vulnerable to mechanical damage during processing and transportation. Because the seed is highly delicate in nature easily subject to field weathering damage and had a detrimental effect on seed even before it is harvested. Soybean is rich in protein and may be eaten in a variety of ways, which significantly boosts cultivation and compete for the next generation nutritious foods.
