Preface

The endocrine system influences growth, metabolism, reproduction, and homeostasis. Understanding the mechanisms in endocrine system is essential for first-year medical, dental and allied health students which forms the foundation for clinical reasoning in later years of medical, dental courses and clinical practice.

“Physiology: Case-Based Questions and Answers – Endocrine System” bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and clinical application among students. The common endocrine disorders are presented as clinical cases and are accompanied by questions that encourage critical thinking, apply physiological principles, and interpret laboratory findings.
